Gas and Heating Services
It is a legal requirement that you use a Corgi registered gas installer for all gas work carried out in a domestic or commercial property. Bower Associates are both Corgi registered and members of the Corgi 'Customer First' scheme.
A legitimate Corgi registered installer must carry with him or her their Corgi registration card with their registration number, Corgi contact details and, on the back of the card, a breakdown of all the services which they are legally permitted to carry out within your premises. Full central heating systems
Any gas central heating system that we install is tailored exactly to the needs of each individual customer. Prior to quotation, we do a full survey of your property to assess your central heating requirements, and to ensure that any system which we install fully complies with the increasingly stringent requirements set out in Building Regulations. This ensures that your new central heating system is both energy efficient and conforms to all the latest building legislation.
Replacement Gas Boilers
As Accredited installers of Worcester Bosch gas boilers, we offer a full three year guarantee on both
parts and labour. This compares with only one year from British Gas for a virtually identical boiler
manufactured by Worcester Bosch.
A new boiler can significantly reduce your energy bills as a result of major advances in the energy efficiency of gas boilers in recent years. There are many systems to choose from, and we can give you expert and unbiased advice on which is the correct system for you.
Gas Appliance Servicing
Most reputable manufacturers require you to have your gas appliances regularly serviced to maintain the validity of your warranty. Moreover, periodic servicing ensures that the appliances remain both safe and as energy efficient as possible. For example, Worcester Bosch advise that you have your appliances serviced annually by a qualified engineer using approved spares to maintain the safety, economy and reliability of the appliance.
Gas Breakdowns and repairs
Even when an appliance is regularly serviced, things can go wrong, and that is when we are available at short notice to help get things back up and running. We only use genuine parts which, coupled with our extensive experience, minimises the risk of another breakdown occurring.
Power Flushing
Power flushing cleans the interior of your heating system, radiators and pipe work. Debris from within the system can damage the boiler, especially within a hard water area, so that it is essential that a system is power flushed before the installation of a new boiler. Many gas installers do not have the equipment to power flush the central heating system, which puts the system at risk of breakdown. Bower Associates use the Kamco Clearflow system to power flush hot water systems.
Landlords' Gas Inspections
Under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, it is a legal requirement for a landlord to ensure that the gas pipework, appliances and flues in their properties are working correctly and safe for tenants to use. Energy Efficiency Advice
All of our work takes into account the issue of energy efficiency, including the use of thermostatic radiator valves, individual room thermostats and time controls. We are certified under the Building Regulations Energy Efficiency scheme, so you can be assured that all advice given is up to date and accurate.
